Finalizing is an option that is chosen during the burning of the disc. It usually can't be done after a disc is already burned unless you are creating multisession discs. Most standalone players will only read the last segment of a multisession disc if they can read it at all.

Go with ZippyP's recommendation ... but I would try and locate someone with the same machine first .

i have had 4 ilo dvdr04's they all did what yours did the recorder pooped out i think it was because the recorder did not get enough air so it burned up if you have a stand alone dvd recorder like gos in a computer it has to be a 16 speed drive 20 speed mite work but i have not tried it it can be double layer or not i bought a LG MODEL # GSA-HIOL - IT WORKS PERFECT I CUT A HOLE ON THE TOP OF THE PLAYER TO RUN THE STRAP AND POWER CORD THAT WHENT TO THE RECORDER I TRIDE A LITEON 16 SPEED IT WORKS FINE EXCEPT SOME TIMES WHEN YOU FAST FORWARD IT FREEZES UP BUT ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TURN IT OFF AND RESTART IT I HOPE THIS HELPS UALL BUT LIKE I SAID IT HAS TO BE A 16 SPEED ARE IT WILL NOT WORK
