  1. Hi to everyone

I got some DVD-s from Europe, but any DVD player or PC can't read them. I thing that are not finalized. Is any software that can finalize any kind of unfinalized DVD-s? Thanks.

probably not unless you have the same unit that made them.

you can try isobuster and see if it can extract the files from them.

The free version of ISOBuster has worked for me, though it doesn't work for everybody. You will need a few more free programs as well, even if it does work. Which ones will depend upon what you want to do.

Assuming ISOBuster works, you will be probably able to watch the video from your computer's hard drive, without much difficulty. In my case, after renaming the file to .mpg, I am able to use PowerDVD 5.0 (not free) to watch it. VLC (free) may also work. Windows Media Player does not work for me when I try to use it for this.

Creating a DVD that can be played on a DVD player or with a computer's DVD drive will require more work. If there is only one movie and you don't need a menu for the DVD, it should still not be very hard to do.

Without the hardware/software that created the discs in the first place you are unlikely to be successful in finalizing them.

Your best bet is to extract the video from the discs and re-author. You can do that with NeroVision, which IMO is the answer to unfinalized discs.

-Load the DvD and start NeroVision.
-Make DvD -> DvD Video (or Editable DvD)
-On the next page, Import Disc -> select your drive
-Wait till the clips/titles load, then select the ones you want as well as your save destination
    -Hit OK.

If all goes well, when NeroVision is finished importing, you should find equivalent, and lossless versions of your DvD's video in .mpg files in your save folder. You can use these to re-author and re-burn with your favorite such app, or you can use NeroVision again for this too.
I hate VHS. I always did.
