    hi when i view the file it plays perfectly in windows media player but when goin to source range in tmpgenc there is no noise sequence so i use avi decompressor and load the file again in tmpgenc and load the pcm file i just made to the audio part but still get no audio sequence
    how can this be?

    Does the PCM/WAV file work after the avi decompressor stage?
    IMO, the easiest way to get a wav out of an AVI is to load the AVI in Goldwave.

    Yes Goldwave is a good option. You could also try VirtualDubMod for demuxing
    When I was born I was so shocked that I could'nt speak for 18 months.
