  1. Hello everyone. It has been a long time since I've visited here, but I know it's the place to go for expertise. I'm far from a power user, never tweaking ffdshow because I really only use it as a codec pack (one install, plays everything!).

Recently I noticed that if I'm playing a video, and then open a second one, that the picture of the second playing video becomes washed out...it has like a pink haze to it, with a light verticle line going down the left side of the screen. This only happens when playing more than 1 video at a time.

I thought maybe it was the latest build I installed, so I went back several old versions & it still happened. The build i have installed now is 11.29.05 and I am playing it with MPC. If anyone has heard of this issue (I've done tons of searches around the web, with no luck) could you please help me out?

Thank you very much for your time....

P.S. it doesn't matter which player I use to play the second video, the picture is still messed up - so I don't believe it's a player issue.

Have you tried it in another player to see if the same thing happens?

  3. Yes, I have. Different players, and different players for each video. Even if one video is idle, and the 2nd one is playing, it's still suffers video quality.

  4. Some Nvidia drivers cards have a problem with overlay. Only one player can use overlay at a time so the second one gets messed up with the problems you've listed. Maybe newer drivers will help.
