    Hi everyone

I have a spare laptop for parts. I want to use the laptop's screen with my PC. This will involve separating the screen from the rest of the laptop and connecting it to my PC. Would someone please tell me what I should do/expect, before I start?

I realize that the laptop screen does not have its own power cord; therefore, I will have to learn how to power it once it is separated from the laptop.

    Thanks

I'm not sure if that will work. You likely need the video driver board and that is probably on the computer motherboard, not in the display.

But, here's a couple of links that discuss doing similar to what you have in mind. Take a look:

    Good luck.

There's not enough info here to be helpful. This can be done in some cases while others would cost more time and money than a 15 inch LCD anyways.
