    I recently installed ffdshow and now whenever I use mainconcept with avisynth I see it uses ffdshow. I'm not too familiar with ffdshow. Can I disable it if I don't want mainconcept to use it? Is there any advantage to useing it over divx? The only reason I installed it was to see if I would get better video when viewing tv through my haupuagge pvr150 card.

    Just uninstall it if you don't want it. ...or you can specify which fourcc codes ffdshow should handle IIRC
