    Hi,
I´m thinking about buy a DVD with HDMI, but sometimes I´d like using a wireless headphone to listen music, videoclips and other kind of movies....
So, it´s possible disable HDMI audio, and listen the audio through DVD component or composite audio ( my headphone has this connection ) and see the video through HDMI ?

Thanks, and sorry my bad english!

You can probably disable HDMI audio out. It depends on the player. Some players may also have other audio outputs at the same time besides HDMI that may be available. But with a set top player, it's not likely to have a regular headphone output. It may have a optical or coaxial digital audio output that you can select instead of HDMI audio. Or maybe a stereo audio output. But you would still need a amplifier to use regular headphones.

If your headphones will accept a line level audio input, then maybe. Again, really depends on that particular player. Do you have a brand and model number for the player you are looking at?

The model is Philips DVP3360KX/78 , it has coaxial digital audio output. So it´s not possible use the analogic audio output (component or RCA) with HDMI video at the same time ?

    Thanks !

It would have to be specific to the individual dvd player. But just so you know a playstation 3 can transmit audio seperately through fiber optic and still send video via hdmi. I would have to imagine this is a common feature on hdmi devices that include either coaxial or fiber optic outputs. They have to know not everyone has hdmi inputs on digital surround receivers. I would look up the manual online since you do have a model number.

edit - sorry didn't see the analog requirement. I believe the ps3 outputs analog simultaneously (stereo only obviously). So I'm assuming upconverting hdmi dvd players probably do also. Again you should go online and reference that specific model to know for sure.

From what I saw in one Philips 3360 manual, you can disable HDMI audio and you should be able to get analog (R and L stereo) audio output. No guarantees that this is correct with every Philps 3360 model, though. If your headphones are amplified, it should work then.
