    I have a Ricoh MP5125A updated to firmware 1.72 and I keep getting "Illegal Disc" error when I try to burn with Nero, i'm using 'Best' DVDs to burn with.. I'm starting to think these discs won't work with my burner, but i'm hoping i'm wrong, because I just bought 200 of them :P

    anyone know whats going wrong?

    Try with an older firmware. It may or may not work but with 200 blanks I will try it.

    If your Best disk are 8x with DVD+R with CMC MAG.E01 media code they should work. I'm using a HP DVD200i with Ricoh MP5125 firmware ver 1.72. With this burner I'm burning TDK with CMC MAG.E01 media code also.
