I have been running into an error with the new version.
I downloaded the new version, uninstalled the old, and installed the new version, then I get this error, so I at that point run a system memory test, and the memory checked out fine.
Then I upgraded to the .Net Frameworks ver.2.0, still having this problem.

The error is "Unhandled excption has occurred in your application" then has buttons of quit, continue, details.
Then says Attempted to read or write to protected memory. This is offten an indication that other memory id currupt.

Here is a screen recording of the error, and how by changing the ext from mpg to avi would stop the error.
Sorry I was not thinking, so this streaming video screen record is best viewed at 1024x768 or higher.

Also I added pause and play buttons for better viewing if needed.

But just want to say, buying this program was the best money ever spent!

Interesting. Like the video as a method of illustrating the error... Very helpful indeed!

Can you email me a sample of the mpeg file? (Use the makesample tool in the tools folder) – say 5MB. (Also can you check that the sample behaves the same?)

    I will investigate.

Yes I bought that screen recorder bacause I write php script and when someone does not want it installed just the script, I use that to show how to change some of the config. and how to install (if database driven).
But this program still is the best I ever bought. lol

Not sure I understand you when you say "Use the makesample tool in the tools folder"....

But it is not just that mpg that does that, I have like 13 that I have tried and all do the same error, but again as soon as I change the ext to avi, works fine.

Oh here is what I did.
I used Windows Movie Maker to take a few frames out of the movie.

Then I tested it again and got the same error.

    http://www.morejammin.com/support/error2
Again best viewed at 1024x768 or higher.

    The movie zip is:

    It is like 4.5MB

Then I also tried to change it to other formats and all worked but the mpg.

There is a program in the "tools" folder called makesample.exe under where you installed SVCD2DVD... this will enable you to create a sample of the mpeg.

    Yes same error.
But I see you do not. What could I try or check do you think?
I was not getting this when I had the old version installed, then I uninstalled the new version and installed the old again, with same error.

    Any ideas?

    Again impressed with the vid!

Is this the same when you reboot & S2D is the only program running?

    Yes.
I have increased my paging file (windows drive memory), defraged the drive, then ran msconfig. and turned off all startup programs, and then rebooted and then tried it, with the same error.

Did all that before I figured to post here.

    This problem is CLOSED.

The problem is not the software, but was in fact within my system.

    The fix:
I started with removing the SVCD2DVD v2 software, then removed all the programs that were installed after the first SVCD2DVD install.
Then I went into the Windows registry and removed all traces of not only the SVCD2DVD software but all the other removed software.
    I also removed .Net Frameworks.

Then I shut down the system to get a full memory dump.
Restarted the system, installed the other programs that was removed, then installed .Net Frameworks 1.1, and then the SVCD2DVD v2.

    Works fine.

Thank you Chrissyboy for all the help.
Also if you would like that screen recorder, contact me off this site and I can get you a copy
webmaster and my domain is within all the urls posted
