  1. Hello.I received a dvd show in pal format in a trade.This was a

torrent download.Don't have menu, but have correct chapters.

The disc play fine ,but never end ...I mean ,I play the show in a pc

with power dvd ,and ,when the show end ,then starts again.

A nice member in another forum was telling me that

"most authoring programs give the option of 'next action after disc has finished'

if that has been set to 'play from beginning' it will just play on an endless loop."

I could "import the footage into

TMPGenc DVD Author, choose to keep the chapter points and then re-author."

But the problem is that I don't know nothing of dvd authoring.

Would Exist another simple way for fix this problem?

    Regards

Not without efforts on your behalf. Read up on DVD authoring. Read guides for TMPGEnc DVD Author - a good mix of "novice friendly" and features.

You can just press the stop button, or you can look at something like PGCEdit which might let you change the end action without having to reauthor. It will take some effort and reading on your part though.

what about simply running it through DVDShrink using the reauthor feature with no compression

that will keep the chapter points but should create new IFO's and commands that won't repeat the DVD

all our advertisement discs we receive from the company that produces this media uses this method of repeating the entire contents. Like someone else said, use DVD shrink if you don't understand complicated re-authoring software to remove this unwanted feature. Click the re-author button in shrink and select all the files on the right, click backup and your done.
