    Hi everyone! I have a brand new Plextor 716AL. I upgraded the firmware to 1.09 (the latest on Plextor's site, anyway). I am using Fugifilm DVD+RW 4.7gb disks. When i am burning, i set the speed to max, but i only get 4x, both when burning and erasing/formatting.

    what's up? any way to make this thing go faster?

    Any help greatly appreciated!

    heh, silly me. They are rated for 4x. Duh.

    but is there any way to make 'em burn faster?
