I am having trouble eliminating hiss from the audio when I capture video.
I am using MMC 7.5 (Set to full DVD capture) a built in C-Media audio card on an AMD 1600+ system. No matter what adjustments I make to audio levels or capture format the hiss is always there.
On my previous set up I did not have any problems with hiss.
Is anyone else having the same problem and know what is causing it?
I have also just noticed that if I de-multiplex the MPEG(1 or 2), amend the sound streem so the hiss disappears and then re-multiplex - the hiss re-appears on the re-multiplex.
I did post this in the capture section but since discovering this last point I think it is probably more relevant here !
Help !!!!

I have a similar problem.
I have a MPEG-2 video stream (.m2v) and a .mp2 Audio Stream (44,1 kHz, 224 kbps)
When I play the audio stream with an audio player (e.g. Winamp), it's ok.
But after multiplexing video and audio to a SVCD compatible MPEG with TMPEG or bbMPEG, the resulting mpg-File hisses when played in PowerVCR.
What am I doing wrong? -
