Have you just tried import the vob?
Or try vob2mpg and try import the mpg.
Or try convert the vob to avi/dv with virtualdubmpeg2.
Or frameserve from DGMPGDec or virtualdubmpeg2 to premiere pro.
Or edit with MPEG Video Wizard. -
I have tried using virtualdubmpeg2 to convert my(dvd) vob files to avi/dv, so I can edit in premiere pro. The avi file went from 1g to 41.9g. With no audio. Is there a setting a need to change, I want the best picture quality. What program should I use?
Thanks in advance. -
Select a compression if you want smaller size, Video->Compression, you can use panasonic dv avi, huffyuv.
If it is ac3 audio you must install the AC3 ACM Decompressor to get wav audio, Audio->Compression and select the AC3 ACM. -
Great tool! It worked. Created AVI/WAV file.
I only loaded 1 of my 5 VOB files and its still large 22.8gb.
Is this common? Is there a setting to reduce this size.
I installed panasonic dv avi, huffyuv.
Video->Compression.
I installed AC3 ACM Decompressor to get WAV audio.
But I was not able to select Audio->Compression.
Saved as AVI..
I was able to import my AVI/WAV file to premiere pro.
Much appreciated.....
