  1. i have a avi file that i am trying to encode usinf tmpegnc when the file comes out i get no sound. i noticed that when i load it into tmpegnc thr file for the audio does not load. is ther any way i can fix this, if so can someone explain step by step, i am new to all this.......

    Find what audio codec is in the AVI with GSpot. My bet is AC3 - if so, install AC3Filter.

  3. i install it in my pc , but still i get no audio.....am i doing something wrong, do i have to do something with tmpegnc and ac3 .......

    Well with default settings TMPGEnc requires an ACM decompressor for the audio. It won't use dshow and therefor AC3Filter unless you increase the dshow input priority.

    If you are encoding for DVD though and it is AC3 I would suggest that you don't re-encode the audio. Just reuse it.
