OK, I had monster trouble getting the firmware update, but now it's in, but I'm still getting errors when burning a collection of XVID's. I can burn two or three files to a CD fine, I can burn a backed up DVD fine, but whenever I try to put 5 or 6 files onto a DVD, it tells me I have a "media error" and a "positioning error".
Is this just the media being bad? Or a sign that I need to buy a new drive?
It's a Pioneer DVR107, using the lastest version of Toast, and TDK 8x media.

If you can burn a cd,
if you can burn a single or pair of QT mov files to DVD
if you can Burn 3-4 QT Mov files to DVD
then
I would say its a problem with the XVIDS.
The fact you can burn other things is a good sign.
What if you re-authored the video through ffmpegx to [MPEG-4].mov?
Then tried to burn the 5 files?
What happens then....?
