Hi, I had a video recording of a concert that was in authored DVD format, but missing the menu .VOB. Thanks to some advice from forum members yesterday, I used VOB2MPG to get an MPEG, and I used GUI for dvdauthor to make menus and re-author the disc. My author log showed a number of errors. It gave this trio of warnings numerous times during the author process:
WARN: Audio pts for channel 0 moves backwards by 1440; please remultiplex input.
    WARN: Previous sector: 18.772 - 18.836
    WARN: Current sector: 18.820 - 18.884

And it gave the the following at the end of the log:
    INFO: Video pts = 0.176 .. 0.209
    INFO: Audio[32] pts = 0.176 .. 0.176
    STAT: VOBU 3 at 0MB, 3 PGCS
INFO: Generating VMGM with the following video attributes:
    INFO: MPEG version: mpeg2
    INFO: TV standard: ntsc
    INFO: Aspect ratio: 4:3
    INFO: Resolution: 720x480

ERR: in VMGM pgc 1, button MM1B36

When I opened it with VLC through GUI for dvdauthor, it gave me the following error message:
    Unable to open 'C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxx\My Documents\GFDOutDir\DVD\VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.IFO'

Then it briefly flashed on the one of the submenus and began to play the movie itself. Does anybody have any idea what happened?

  2. ERR: That form of jumping is not allowed
Usually this error is due to a jump from the main menu directly to a chapter (which is not allowed by the DVD spec). There are several possibilities to circumvent this limit. If you want help, please post (or send me by mail) the saved project file and the created author.xml file. Compress the files as zip, rar or similar.
