Static Like Sound Disturbance in Nero Vision Express 3.xx

I have been using Nero Vision Express (2.xx) for quite some time to author DVD from MPEG files that I get from Sony DVD Camcorder. Last week I upgraded to latest version (3.xx) and since then there is disturbance similar to static in the sound. I get the static like disturbance even when I play the mpeg video file in edit video section or create chapter section. The same static sound appears in the finally produced vob files. If I play the same mpeg file in some other player (e.g. Windows Media Player or Nero Showtime), the sound quality is fine. So the source is fine. Anyone has encountered same problem and found a solution?

I have upgraded Nero Vision Express from version 2.1.2.21 to 3.1..0.16 and got the similar problem. I did some further tests and following is what I found:
In my case, if playing captured video file with some background music, which I record and put in Audio 1 or Audio 2 track, no matter whether in edit video section or create chapter section using NVE 3, it is working fine, no static disturbance. Of course, the video file has its own sound. But if I put some sound file that is human speech recorded as narratage in a Audio track, it causes very annoying static like noise unless I turn off the sound of video file and other Audio track such as background music.

I just sent an Email to Nero tech. support to see if they have any solution.

I don't have anything in the Audio 1 or Audio 2 track. A simple new project with just one small video causes the same thing. Now even uninsalling the newer version and reinstalling older version doesn't help.

Really? Nero Vision Express is sucks! I have many DVD project created by using NVE 2, otherwise I will seek other DVD authoring software.
Sure, I will let know if I hear anything from Nero tech. support.
Which old version you are using now?
I used to use Nero Vision Express 2.1.2.21, but every time when I try to export movie to a file, it always give me an error message like the one attached to this reply. It used to work fine but I don't know why it deosn't work recently. I suspect because of WIN XP service pack 2.
Do you have this problem in using NVE 2?

I also had 2.1.2.21 but for me everything worked fine in that version. I like NVE because it is simple yet provide all features of DVD authoring that I would like to use. Now I have so many projects, it be very difficult to migrate all those in another software. Moreover, I am so comfortable with NVE, I don't even want to learn any other software. I would haplity downgrade if that solves it but even that doesn't help. It seems the upgrade has updated some common component and doesn't uninstall it.

I got the following reply after exchanging several Emails with Nero tech. support:

2.) How did you capture the video? Which capture device did you use?
This sounds like a big compability problem with wrong Video and Audio
streams.

NeroVision Express does not support all capture cards at the moment.
Unfortunately the support for capture cards cannot be implemented
automatically, because every capture card has its own interface.
As result we have to test and implement each capture card separately.
This procedure is very time consuming.

As we are still testing capture cards we will update the list
regularly, so your card will be added in future updates.

Check your capture card and compare it with the list of capture cards supported by NVE 3 to see if your card supported by NVE 3. In my case, no matter it is supported or not, my captured video files have no sound problem at all. It must be some other problem related.

May be that applies to you but for me the mpeg files are playing fine even in Nero Player so the source has no problem. I have also written an email to nero support.
