I've been transferring my old VCR tapes to DVD. All have been burning perfectly Now all of a sudden Nero gives me an 'unble to insert AVI' message when I try to load an AVI file.
I even gives the same error message on files I have already successfully burned.
I've updated my nero to the latest version

    Any help please

It could be one of a zillion things.... you're not giving us much to go on here.

    1. Between the time you successfully imported one of the avi's until now, have you installed any other programs, codecs, or made any major changes to your comp? Upgrades even?

    2. Can you watch these avi's on your comp? Do they play properly?

And Pleeeeeeeeease fill out your computer details. I don't even know what OS you're on.

Nero can be very picky at times, especially if you upgrade and then throws up strange errors for no reason

Have you installed ANY software before or after you upgraded Nero, sometimes other software can mess things up

Another thing you can try is to uninstall Nero completely, restart your computer, then reinstall Nero. Its a pain I know, but this can cure Nero's problems sometimes

  5. You've got some old version of Nero, maybe 5.something?

Move to the latest 6, it's worth it.

Sorry, I should have said. I have latest version of Nero
New error message now says file does not contain any video information. This is a file I have already burned successfully twice before.
