Hi
I have just got season 3 of the Shield on DVD.
It's not a DVD rip 'but from the actual tv series with the fx logo on it.
I am hoping this is legal'but please advise if it is'nt.![]()
However i would like to watch them on my tv rather than on my small monitor.
However i don't seem to be able to convert them to a watchable format to burn to DVD.
Cucasoft gives a message that it does'nt like the xvid compression and other converters i have tried give sound'but no picture.
Any idea what i can do?

Excellent series!!!!!!!! Nearly as good as '24'!!!! Ha!!
I have completed the entire season 4 of '24' onto DVD so the process will be the same for the 'Shield'. First off the quality should be excellent so i don't really see a need to mess with the video encoding settings.
1. For speed, then i would use Mainconcept Mpeg Encoder to convert to DVD format. Do this for each episode.
2. I would then use TMPGenc DVD Author to compile several episodes together. I did not want to put more than 4 episodes onto a single DVD without seriously screwing up the quality. Ignore if program tells you that file size is too big-just compile anyway.
3. There will be no doubt that once you've compiled a DVD you will have to shrink to fit on a single disc-use DVD Shrink.
If a little more advanced then maybe consider extracting audio and encoding to AC3 5.1 and then recompiling all episodes!
