I have problems with Discs I Have recorded woth my Standalone DVD Recorded being read in DVD Shrink. What I need to do, is take just a portion of a certain title and rip it to my hard drive. Is there something other than DVD shrink that can easily do this?

I don't know if I'm following exactly what you want to do (and excuse me if I don't) but

    (1) Rip the entire DVD to your harddrive using DVDShrink or DVDDecryptor (file mode)

    (2) Open the DVD in TMPGEnc DVDAuthor (30-day free fully functional trial available if you don't already own it) and select the title you want. If you only want a protion of a given title you can use TMPGEnc DVDAuthor to cut out the parts you don't want.

I do this all the time to cut out commericals from DVDs written by my standalone DVD recorder.

I was wanting to do it directly from the disc, as DVD shrink will not allow all the time with discs that are recorded on my Standalone player. I am wanting to avoid ripping the entire disc.

Set it to File mode, then choose the VTS which has the title you want a part of. You can then untick the chapters you don't want, and extract what's left. Remember to untick the other titles as well, if there are any.
