  1. OK it SAYS its burning at 8x but i know its not its at 2% and its been going for 2 minutes! it worked a couple weeks ago and now its starting to tick me off. im using nero (although ive tried other programs) and the top buffer level is fine but the bottom one keeps flicking back and fourth all over the place looks like that might be the cpu usage but it says buffer, i dont recall it doing that a couple weeks ago anyway. i noticed the light on the dvd burner is going green orange green orange green orange, shouldent it just be green after its spun up and started burning?
ive made about 6 dvd coasters and 4 cd coasters and i cant figure it out.
nero is taking up about 77 megs of memory.

If you reboot the PC, does it still mess up. Also what burner is it? And how old is it? Is this on a Windows PC or a Mac? Hate to ask you more questions but they all are needed to help you solve your issue. Thanks

I/O MAGIC doesn't manufacture their own dvd burners, they use other manufacturers such as BTC & BENQ. They slap their name on the drives and sell them under I/O MAGIC. You may want to check out the BENQ & BTC FORUM site at CDFREAKS.COM to see whether or not you have REBADGED BENQ or a REBADGED BTC drive. I'm not sure what REBADGED drive you have.
