  1. I am from central Europe. I record a music videos from Deluxe Music channel (Astra 1H, via SkyStar1 card). But this station has rather dull colors in comparison with the other stations such as VH1. I proved it by comparing the same video recorded from both stations. Bacause I don't know anything about what is inside mpeg2 file, I ask: Is there any way how to improve chroma values of mpeg2 file? If so, must be the file reencoded? Thanks.

Yes, there are applications to change the chroma and luma values of Mpeg2 files. AviSynth has some of the best plugins for this purpose (one is called HDRAgc, which can have great results if used properly).

Yes, you'll need to re-encode to change the chroma

An alternative, much easier, is virtualdub mpeg2

Load your DVB mpeg2 file to virtualdub mpeg2. Then, filter it, correct the colours (internal filters), resize to 352 x 576 (since deluxe tv is not 352 x 576, is 528 x 576 if I remember correct...) frameserve to TMPGenc and re-encode

A third alternative: Load direct to TMPGenc and use the internal colour filters!
