  1. When I make a back up of a DVD I like to copy the actual disk with my scanner and then print that onto the DVD so it looks as much like the original disk as possible.

    I use the software that came with my Epson Stylus Photo R300 and the color is washed out compared to the original. I try changing the settings to increase brightness and or contrast and or gamma but all I get are different looks not better.

    Does any one have a rule of thumb for this? I fully realize that it depends on my scanner settings etc and that no answer will be perfect. I just want to know what works for you,

    When you installed your R300, did you load the EPSON color management software. I have my r300 networked between two pc's. On the pc that I actually installed the software on, the colors are good and correct. If I network to the printer from my other pc, the colors are off.

  3. That's interesting. I have the exact same set up. I'll try printing from the computer that is connected to the printer and let you know if it helps.
