I have a strange problem that I cannot figure out. I have a Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB2. System specs in my profile are current. My problem is when I record/capture, after 45 minutes to an hour or so, the picture begins to go “slow motion” and become jerky. Occasionally it will completely freeze. If it just remains jerky the end result recording does not show this effect. If I stop recording and just watch, it immediately goes away and looks normal. I have also noticed that as it gets slower and slower, the delay becomes longer. There is a 1 second delay normally and it will get as long a 6 seconds. The cpu usage never get high and at the beginning of the capture, I can multitask and do things with no apparent ill effect. The problem only presents itself after recording has been going on awhile.
I have tried closing out everything in my system tray, switching around USB ports, installing a new PCI 4 hub board and several suggestions from Hauppauge tech support to no avail. My frustration factor is getting high.
Anyone else experience this? Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks.
