    'adobe encore standard sizes' are a subset of the full DVD spec. Your avis are not. You could try avisynth and fitcd. FitCD will create a script for you that you can try to load into encore in place of your avi. avisynth will then frameserve your avi to encore at the correct size.

    If encore cannot read frameserver signpost files then you will have to encode at the correct size first.
