  1. Please Help, I'm stuck! I have a bin file and a cue file and I need to burn them onto a dvd. I am out of DVD-R's and all I have left are DVD+R's. Could someone please tell me the steps to get the bin and cue onto the DVD+R successfully. Thanks so much!

Assuming of course that it is actually a dvd image and not a cd image, it shouldn't matter what type of disc (+R/RW or -R/RW) that you are attempting to use. What is the exact error you are getting?

    Not to be to picky,
    BUT....
It is not clear what is intent is.
You certainly can burn bin/cue files to DVD+R. If your goal is for archiving until you get more DVD-R disks then burn as data files and you are good. If you are want them to work the same as you would with -R media then that was covered earlier.

A few more details would be helpful or the information given will be less than helpful.

I've used Nero to burn cue/bin straight to disc and it works fine. Simply drop the cue file in and then follow instructions.

If the cue/bin is a movie, then personally i would use VCDGear to convert cue/bin to MPEG-that way i can check the output before i waste a disc on a load of crap quality.

  7. The bin/cue is a movie. I used Isobuster to extract the mpeg from the bin. I now have a dvd-r handy. Now all I should have to do is burn it onto the blank dvd-r right? Which program do you recommend to use now that I have the mpeg extracted? Do I do anything with the cue?

  8. I tried to use TMPGENC Dvd Author, but when I select the mpeg file that I extracted from the .bin I get the following error message:

The video framerate 23.976 fps cannot be used for a standard DVD.
You can only use the following framerate for a standard DVD:
    29.97 fps (NTSC format only)
    25 fps (PAL format only)

    What can I do now?

Extract cue/bin movie file. Use VCD Gear to extract to MPeg (Mpeg1). You need to then convert to convert to MPeg 2. I use TMPGenc Plus but there are a whole host of encoders out there so chose one which you are comfortable with. Once done, you can use TMPGenc DVD Author to create TS folders and burn as normal.

  10. I have already extracted the mpegav file using Isobuster. Now I have the .dat file. What do I do with that. I'm not trying to be difficult, just new at this.

Bottom line is you're gonna have to change the file extension from .dat to .mpg. Hence why i would have simply used VCDGear (freeware) to extract straight to Mpeg. Once you have the mpeg file then start encoding and authoring. A million and one posts on encoding here-just go far that which you are comfortable with.
