  1. i've got 2 .avi files that play fine with VLC.
tried Toast 7 to make a DVD of both files.
I play the disc on my tv, the picture skips (like a tracking problem) not only that the picture is in B/W, not color!

I play the disc on my computer with DVD player and VLC, video is fine but no audio.

    any suggestions?

    thanks

Interesting, do we still need the Quicktime codecs for all those funky Divx formats to work with the New Toast 7? Post the specific audio and video codecs used in your avi's. Stream 0 and 1 from the VLC get info dialog.

  3. no... you don't need any special codecs.
toast 7 has the full divx 6 implementation - an encoder to create divx, a decoder to turn divx into dvd, and a quicktime player plug-in to play divx files in quicktime player.

does the avi file playback in quicktime player - prior to using in toast?
