I have a 25 minute VOB/MPG file that I am opening with MPEG2VCR. When I click "save" and then click "video" it reports that it is VBR 9.8M bit rate with quality at once notch from the highest and 48khz 192k 2.0 AC3. I have a second (1 minute) VOB/MPG that is the same resolution and the AC3 is the same but it is CBR 6.0M bit rate. I open the 25 minute clip in MPEG2VCR and at the 22 minute mark, I insert the second 1 minute clip. I then save the file with the video setting at the 9.8M VBR settting. The resulting mpeg file doesn't play well (jumpy) and the audio is delayed. I then went back and opened the 1 minute clip and saved it as VBR 9.8M with the quality set at the same, then I reopen it and insert it in the 25 minute clip at the same location (at the 22 minute mark). When I save this time, the resulting mpeg plays very nicely. However, then I demux and try to do a simple author with ReJig or IFOEdit and I have problems. Rejig completes, but the only video that is there is the video after the inserted clip (i.e. the last 3 minutes of the 25 minute clip). IFOEdit gives several errors like:

Stream E0: data will arrive too late. Current SCR:134553746, stream DTS:0
Stream E0: data will arrive too late. Current SCR:134733970, stream DTS:0
Stream E0: data will arrive too late. Current SCR:134787949, stream DTS:0
Stream E0: data will arrive too late. Current SCR:134868992, stream DTS:0

Then pops up a window that says "Too many frame drops!". I have demuxed with other programs, and used MPEG2VCR to scan the MPG for errors and it reports it as ok. What am I doing wrong? BTW, when I am doing the simple author, I am including the AC3, the M2V and the celtimes.txt file. There are no subtitle files.
