    I got a lite on dvd recorder but after I installed it, I was only able to burn 1 cdr. It burns dvds fine but I cant get to burn another cd. Nero always says the cdrs are full and Ive bought 3 different packs now. no other app works either. I always get an error saying theres no disc in the drive.

    Can a cdrw drive burn a cdr disc?

    Can a cdrw disc be read from car cd players?

    Sounds like the drive is bad. There are separate lasers for reading and burning CD's and DVD's.

    Can a cdrw drive burn a cdr disc? YES

    Can a cdrw disc be read from car cd players? Some can some can't. Newer players probably will.

    Can you play an audio CD in your Lite-On? If you cannot, chances are the laser dedicated to CD's is bad. Lite-On SOHC-1633s drives were plagued with this defect.
    I had to return mine to HP after only a month of use. They sent me nice HP640c LightScribe burner as a replacement.
    Took hours and hours over the phone with tech support however.
