  1. I have PAL .avi files, each about 350mb that I want to put on SVCD (or maybe DVD) for USA players.

I have done much research. I have looked at the "sticky" as someone recommended. This did not work. I used tmpgen and dgpulldown with no success.

Any easy way to do this or software that can to this???

  3. extract the audio from the avi file. use these guide:
    http://members.dodo.net.au/~jimmalenko/ExtractAudio.htm
use besweet and besweetgui the change the fps of the audio from 25 to 29.97
and save the audio as wav.
    open the avi in virtualdub
    audio>>no audio
    video>>direct stream copy
    video>>frame rate
    change to 29.97
    file>>save as avi
load the new audio file and the new video file in tmpgenc.
    load the svcd ntsc templete.
    click on setting>>advanced
choose "do not frame rate convertion" and hit ok.
    press start to convert!

  4. Can you explain what means "with no success."?
I am asking because the procedure with dgpulldown is the faster one.
