  1. I have TMPG 2.5 plus and I am wondering if I can use the TMPG AC3 to encode the audio. I am converting an XVID to DVD. I tried to convert audio to WAV with Virtualdub and I get synch problems. I was thinking of getting TMPG 3.0 Xpress, but would like to avoid it. Thanks.

  2. In VirtualDub go to audio>>direct stream copy
    file>>save wav
save the sound as ac3 (add *.ac3 to the file name)
convert the audio to wav using besweet and belight or using headac3he.
load the wav file and the video in tmpgenc and convert.

ffmpeggui (free) will create an ac3 file direct from the avi.
