    Has anyone tried encoding a good avi capture to mpg using TMPG? I tried it and came up with great results! Less blocky and almost looks dvd low quality! Right now I'm testing Nero's avi encoding to VCD when authoring a disc to see the results.

    I think you'll find TMPGEnc's encoding capabilities better than Nero's. Especialy as there are so many settings you can fine tune. But it would be interesting what you think of Nero's avi-mpeg1 conversion.
