Sorry if I sound stupid but when it comes to capturing video. I guess I would say that I am.
I just got a capture card and I captured some video the other night. Well it is really pixelized. That I figure is the settings I used.
Anyway I want to capture in AVI format instead of mpeg2 format. How can I do that? I have played with Virtual Dub but can not figure out how to change the channel (as it is coming from TV). I used WinDVR3 the other night but its ok but does not do avi.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!
Thanks a million!!!!!

You could try change the channel with your tv software and then use virtualdub.
And read some guides like http://www.digitalfaq.com/dvdguides/capture/index.htm -
Info???, what cap card as that makes a big difference on what advice to give. Having said that generally the best software to use to capture with your card is whatever is provided by the manufacturer.Originally Posted by talsea
