  1. Sorry if I sound stupid but when it comes to capturing video. I guess I would say that I am.

I just got a capture card and I captured some video the other night. Well it is really pixelized. That I figure is the settings I used.

Anyway I want to capture in AVI format instead of mpeg2 format. How can I do that? I have played with Virtual Dub but can not figure out how to change the channel (as it is coming from TV). I used WinDVR3 the other night but its ok but does not do avi.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!

    Thanks a million!!!!!

You could try change the channel with your tv software and then use virtualdub.

And read some guides like http://www.digitalfaq.com/dvdguides/capture/index.htm

Info???, what cap card as that makes a big difference on what advice to give. Having said that generally the best software to use to capture with your card is whatever is provided by the manufacturer.
