i downloaded a .srt file with winsubtitler, opened it with subtitle workshop then saved it as a .ssa file.
i start virtualdub> video> filters> add> subtitler (Avery Lee) browse for the .ssa file then go to preview and the subtitles do'nt appear.
if i save the .srt as .ssa with winsubtitler it works in virtual dub but its all to the right and i couldnt correct it.
where am i going wrong?

together we will beat this lol -
found the proper subs.
started using another of your guides https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/153058.php
using ffshow coz vobsub will not install.
went to use tmpgenc and it wouldnt load, "can not open or unsupported"
so thought i would try mainconcept instead.
it encoded with subs in correct place
but no audio
uninstalled ffshow and file loads in tmpgenc, but that's no good!
