Creating DVDs in chinese language.

Hi all I am currently using TNMPG dvd encoder, but it seems this software does not support the traditional chinese language. Does anyone know any that does?

What? Encoders don't care if you're speaking English, Chinese or just drooling on a microphone.

Tmpgenc dvd author does support Chinese language in the menu.
You need to have a Chinese font installed and the Chinese text I use is in big5. See image, a menu I recently made.

Is there anything else you need to do? I have MS Hei and MS Song fonts, among others, but when I try to make Chinese characters in TDA, using Chinese IME, all I get is question marks. It works in Outlook Express, for example, but not in TDA, or Ulead DVD Workshop, which surprises me, since it is made in Taiwan. I must be doing something wrong.

Your Chinese text is not in the right code then.
The Chinese characters I input are in big5. They look like this ¥ÌÄ@¬°§A when not displayed with a Chinese viewer.
All I do is copy and paste in tmpenc dvd author and change the font from arial (the standard font on my pc) to a Chinese font. The text will change into viewable Chinese chracters. I'm not sure if you can do this with characters in unicode or in another code.
To get the characters in big5 I copy the characters from websites or I imput them myself onto a notebloc and save the txt file in unicode. Then with njstar communicator I convert the unicode txt to big5.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Big5 is for traditional Chinese characters, isn't it? What should I do to get simplified characters?

And I'm still not getting it. I can use Chinese IME to write Chinese in Outlook Express or Internet Explorer (example), but when I copy and paste those characters into TDA or Ulead DVD Workshop, they turn into question marks, even if I choose a Chinese font like MS Hei or MS Song.

Same problem for dvdLab Pro, some if not all Chinese characters turn ???? etc.

I did my Chinese text art etc in Word etc, then screen shot/paste into the dvdLab Pro menu working area etc.

For simplefied Chinese you can use bg. It can be converted with njstar communicator too.
I'm not familiar with dvdlab pro. I'm a newbie at authoring, I've only used TDA so far. But you can try my method and see if it works.

Windows 2000/XP has own Chinese Language Input tool (IME), but some programs do not accept the Chinese characters (Unicode?)
