I'm using DvdShrink to shrink my backups then having it create an ISO file and when done automatically opening Dvd Decrypter so I'm ready to burn. Since DvdShrink is creating the ISO file when is Dvd Decrypter actually decrypting the file, as soon as the file appears (in Decrypter) or is it doing it during the burning process?
Also some people use Dvd Decrypter first to write the file then use DvdShrink, is there an advantage to this? What would the settings and procedure be to this?

DVDShrink also decrypts....DVDDecrypter cannot shink. DVDDecrypter is a better decrypter....especially for stubborn discs.
DVDShrink cannot burn(on its own).
Using DVDDecrypter first?....6 of one...half dozen of the other. Usually people only do that with above mentioned stubborn discs. -
DVD Decrypter has better ripping potentials like ripping sony arrcoss protection which dvd shrink cannot handle.

So you're saying when you use Shrink then Decrypter like I'm doing then Shrink is doing all the decrypting and Decrypter is only being used for burning, I didn't know that. I guess I thought all Shrink did was shrink and remove Region protection, I learn something every day.
So if I ever get an error using Shrink then I should start all over and begin writing an ISO within Decrypter and when done open Shrink and "Open Files"? Where should the ISO file be located and how do I get the decrypted ISO file back to Decrypter so I can burn? -

Thanks guys! I think it's funny though since I have apparently been using Shrink to decrypt my files (which I didn't know) instead of Decrypter that I've never ran into any problems where Shrink couldn't decrypt. I was under the impression that it had to be updated fairly often and if I'm not mistaken Shrink hasn't been for awhile.
I believe I read when Decrypter is outdated, Ollie said Decrypter could be configured so it still could be used with AnyDvd. So at that point what would be the procedure to shrink, decrypt, make ISO file and burn, could you still use Shrink first and make ISO file and in turn open Decrypter to burn since AnyDvd would be running in the background doing the decrypting? In other words the way I have been doing it except I would have AnyDvd running in the background. -

Just curious but I've read where some people think that the job DvdShrink does shrinking a disc is unacceptable as far as the amount of compression it uses, is there another program that works better that is just as simple to use? By the way I use Shrink with it set to "Auto" and for the most part think that it does a pretty good job and I do prefer to work with ISO files because with my limited understanding of using these programs, all I have to do is create one (ISO file) and burn.
