  1. Ok heres my problem. I new. But other than that, I have a ATI TV Wonder Pro tuner card that I use to capture tv footage. Im trying to convert them to a DVD using Zealot's "All Video to VCD SVCD DVD Creator and Burner v1.7.0" so I can watch them on a stand alone DVD player, but when I do all I get is video with absolutly no sound. If anyone knows what I need to do to fix this, that would be cool. Also, if anyone has any good recomendations for software that can do this sort of thing (Im not sure if you can use other software with ATI hardware), I sure would be greatful. If know one can recomend software, then whats is a good capture devise for making DVDs. Please help, this is driving me nuts. Im running Win XP, AMD 2400, LG burner, 1 ghz mem, sound blaster live, tons of HD space, gforce 5200. Thanks in advance.

What format is the audio encoded in ? If it is mpeg1-layer2 (also known as mpeg audio or mp2), then your player may not support it. Many NTSC players don't recognise or play back mp2 material, although the number is rising. If this is the case, you need to encode you audio to LPCM (space hog) or AC3.

Does it play with sound on your computer? If yes then see the previous post. FFmpeggui is free and will make AC3 audio.

  4. Disreguard, I got help at the newbie fourm.
That Unlead DVD moviefactory is bad arse. I converted to MPEG2 using ATI's bundled Media Library, then used Unlead to make my DVDs and it worked like a champ. Now I'm busyer than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest putting all my archived movies onto DVD. I salute you guys and this great website. Wish I would have known about it a few months ago. Hope this helps someone else.
