Hi,
A small question: ok, I am converting an anime show from avi to SVCD, and am experiencing a little trimming on the borders: ie, I am missing a bit of picture on all four sides. This is when I play on my DVD onto both of my TVs.
If I play the same SVCD back from the disc onto my monitor the entire picture is visible, so the thought occurs that the regular 480x480 4:3 display is fine. Why am I getting cropping of my picture? Is this just a limitation of my TV? Will this disappear with a newer or diff type of television?
I noticed this because I am losing a bit of subtitling when they cover the width of the screen. Mostly it's fine though. I tried an XVCD, too, and it was the same story.
The original file resoloution is 640x480.
I also have the frame-rate set at 23.976, as I understand this is the best setting for anime. Is this what's best?
Any tips or comments would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Kikaida
