  1. can someone tell me what i should be doing to get my home movies onto dvd. i was able to upload from my camera to my computer but i tried to burn it on to a dvd and it would not play on my home dvd player. my friend told me it was my dvd player and i had to get a new one but i borrowed a burned movie from him and it played fine. so i must be doing something wrong.

    Look to the left under Author. The steps are move the files from your camcoreder to PC. then you must convert the files to mpgs. Then you must author the mpgs to an DVD Video_TS folder. you also might want to start with the How To Capture link as well. Welcome to the Forums. I also use TDA to author my DVD's

    Look to the left Under Convert. This will show you how to convert from avi to mpeg.
