  1. Hi,
    I have the SONY DCR-HC1000E when i connrct it thru firewire to my PC i can capture the movie with Adobe but from some reason when i want to move between open windows like IE, the capturing is stopping...does anyone know what is the reason? how can i fix it?

  2. It does this to prevent dropped frames, as using system resources and bringing windows up over Premiere takes its priority away. If you want to multi task while transfering, use WinDV then Import into Premiere

    This is one of my peeves with Premiere capture and goes back to Pentium III days. Vegas' capture and others will work as a background task.

    Frame loss is a risk depending on what you are doing in the foreground.

  4. Yup -- that's how Premiere works. The solution is to not switch to any other application during capture. Or use a different computer if you need to browse the web while capturing. Or use a different app (I recommend Vegas as well).
