....do this? I did a search here but found no thread that offered what I seek. I have a DVD that has reversed audio and want to fix that. Is it possible in IFOEdit?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

I think he means like where audio track 1 (main audio) is tagged as track 2. So the default audio that plays is maybe the director's commentary instead of the main track. This is pretty easy to correct in IFOedit.
Open the IFO for the movie and up top click on VTS_PGCITI. If there's more than 1 PGC in this titleset you will have to expand it and handle each PGC separately. Click on the first PGC. Somewhat down below you'll see "audio stream 1 status" and some numbers to the left, followed later by audio stream 2, 3, etc...
The numbers next to each represent the mapping for that audio track.
The first track is always 32768.
So lets say you want to reverse tracks 1 and 2. Double click on track 2 and change the number to 32768. Take whatever number was there before, and use this to replace audio track 1. Just reverse the numbers.
Remember to do this for each PGC as necessary in that titleset. Now save the IFO and you're done. This is one of those things that sounds complicated when typed out but after you've done it once you can easily do the whole process in about 10 seconds. -
Most audio editors would expect what you're saying to refer to audio that plays backwards.

Hi-
If you're right about what Scooter_NJ is asking, Adam, I think it may be easier, or at least equally easy, to accomplish with PGCEdit. Plus, if you screw up, the original IFOs are automatically saved so you can easily start over if necessary. Using PGCEdit, you double-click on the title(s), and then just switch track 0 to track 1, and track 1 to track 0. Save and test. -

I think he means that the left channel is playing out the right speaker & vice versa.
If I'm right, he needs to demux it with VirtualDubMod, open it with Goldwave, reverse the channels, save it as a wave, open it in AC3Machine & re-encode it as an AC3 file & remux the video & audio with AVIMux_GUI.
If it's what I'm thinking of, it's only a 2-channel AC3 file to begin with, so no surround info will be lost. AC3Machine allows you to save a 5-channel wave file, if it's a 5-channel AC3 to begin with.
I don't think this post breaks any rules, but if it does, please delete it. -
Topher got it! Guess I should have posed it differently.
SO... I suppose the best thing to do is...go analog and reverse the right and left in to my amp.
