Hi, is that possible? A DVD that would play on the TV, as a normal Video DVD, but also contains DATA?

i'm wondering whether someone has already tried to have the standard VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS but also add a folder called DATA that contains file that can be read on a PC?

    Thanks,
    Alan.

  2. I believe this can be done and I think the guy who started this post mentions that he has successfully done it.
Read through the post and you should find a mention of it somewhere, I believe he uses the software RecordNow 7.3,

Not all authoring software supports it, but all you really need to do is add another folder at the same level as the Video_TS folder. It can be called pretty much anything you like. I do this with scans of original photos that are also included within the dvd title itself as a slideshow.

Author to HDD (VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders)
Create DATA folder "beside" DVD folders.
Fill DATA folder with stuff of your choice (making sure max media capacity isn't exceeded).
Make DVD image with imgtools classic
    Burn with DVDDecrypter

Thanks very much (i was a bit nervous for my first post)...

Now, I may be pushing this too far, but any chance I can make an AUTO START PC file on that DVD? I have a setup.exe file that ideally would start on the PC as soon as the DVD is entered. I assume the file would have to be placed in the root of the DVD. Is that a problem?

Thanks again for your help guys.
