I'm having problems playing SVCD's on my Toshiba SD-6200 player. The DVD compatibility list to the left says that the player is SVCD capable.
Here's my setup:
1) Using ATI TV-Wonder to capture with iuVCR using Huffyuv to either 720x480 or 480x480 for SVCD, 352x240 for VCD.
2) Encoding with TMPenc using CQ_VBR 80 with bitrate max of 2450Kb/s. And almost all templates listed on this site.
3) Burning with Nero 5.5.3.5.
Anytime I try to encode with MPEG2 for either XVCD or SVCD, my DVD player just says "Disc Error" and won't play. I have tried at least 40 different variations on burning the SVCDs but I have had no luck. Anyone have any idea?
Also, I have not been able to get a clean picture with any XVCD resolution above 325x240. The picture seems to jump around a bit, and the blockiness is all over the place. Any ideas here as well?
Thanks for any help.
