  1. I am using tmpgenc xpress and when I add my avi it shows it as being 3hr 55mins when it is only 1hr 18mins. Video source is correct but audio is 3hrs 55mins. When I convert to mpeg2 I get no sound and after 1hr 18mins I get black video until 3hrs 55mins is up. Could it be a codec doing this. I have been reading for the last couple days and I cant figure it out.

    Sounds like VBR MP3 audio to me.

    Load the avi in virtualdub and choose audio/full processing mode and then file/save wav and use the wav file in tmpgenc as your audio source.
