Help please to capture a frame of video & convert to jpe

Hi all, I just can't figure this one out. I would really appreciate a pointer in the right direction just on grabbing a single frame of mpeg video and converting it to a jpeg. I just cant seem to find the right setting in the 2 programs below that were recommended to do this in order to do so. This is my first time for this, I guess I'm just new at it.

I did try searching the entire site first. I have avidemux & VirtualDub I can bring up the frame but can't figure what setting I need to convert it to jpeg.

This is very easy to do with Power DVD. You just click on an icon shaped like a camera and it captures the frame as a jpeg file.

With virtualdub just goto video/copy source frame to clipboard and paste it in paint or your favorite pic program.
