    I have some video files on discs that have different frame rates. Looking for software to convert them to DivX (or XviD) files where the frame rates are consistant with the originals. The original versions are sometimes .mp4, .wmv, and .avi with different sizes. Please advise. The software needs to be sophisticated enough that it will detect the frame rate of the original video and apply it to the newly created version.

    Xmedia recode. It will keep the original framerate...if you choose it under Video then.
