HI, At the moment I have a panasonic digi camcorder with DV OUT only. I HAVE A LOT OF VHS FILMS I WOULD LIKE TO EDIT ON MY COMPUTER. I CANT REALLY AFFORD ANOTHER CAMERA WITH DV IN/OUT, SO HOW CAN I CAPTURE MY VHS VIDEOS'S TO MY PC WHICH HAS PINNACLE 9 INSTALLED SO I CAN EDIT THEM AND BURN THEM ONTO A DVD

You will need a video capture card. Look to the left under Capture Cards to see a large list. You can get an older ATI AIW card for around 50.00 US.

If you have a firewire connection on your computer, just conect. Then use Pinnacle to capture the footage.
Dont think you need a capture card. Pinnacle 9 has DV capture ability (at least pretty sure). May even be able to capture directly to mpeg2/DVD format. -
DVWannaB- I think he wants to go from VHS to his PC. According to him his camcorder doesn't have the needed inputs to do this. So he will need a capture card of some form. Mr twonk, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Well he could sell his DV cam on ebay and use that money for a new DV cam with video in and dv out. Then he could do what I suggested above..............

As long as you have the connections for the RCA cables(yellow,white and red cables) to the camcorder or to a capture card. You should be able to capture the tapes.
