  1. i used nero's vision express 2 (i think it's version 2) and tried to make a dvd. i imported the videos (total about 40 mins), added menu, etc and tried to burn it. btw, i chose high quality.. the first attempt said the remaining time was abt 3 hours+ and it stopped after several hours. my 2nd attempt, it stopped after 10 hours of processing. it says that the remaining time is 3+ hours, but the time lapsed is like 10 hours.

why is it doing this? i made 2 attempts to burn the identical file and both times failed. i don't know if it's still processing or not. the time lapsed counter was still moving, but not the remain counter. i waited for several hours and decided to abort it. also, why does the remain and lapsed time differ by so many hours? anyone know what's wrong and what i can do to fix it?

also, my video only contained 40+ mins, but the remain showed 3+ hours (time lapsed showed 10+ hours already). so what happens if i plan to make a dvd of high quality that is 6 hours long? how long will it take to complete?

I think Baldrick is a little harsh on DivxtoDVD, but I agree with his sentiments, especially concerning Nero and it's subset of encoding tools.

  4. should i download the nero vision express 3 update or should i download all the updates? i read that they fixed many problems regarding encoing and all that. hopefully this is what's causing the error. really don't want to sit there for 10+ hours to create a dvd that is only 40 mins long.

also, are wmv supported? i was just thinking if it would be the fact that my project was all of wmv files. i mean, i was able to edit and all that, so it should be a supported file format right?

  5. You should always use the latest versions of Nero if you expect to get the best results.
