    I have office 2000 installed in my machie(os- windows 2000 professional). It was working fine until last month. But suddenly It is not woking and whenever I start the winword I am getting an error like
    "winword.exe has generated an error and will be closed by windows. you will need to restart the program . an error log being created". even if I restart the program i am getting the same error.

    I tried to reinstall the office 2000. still I have the same problem. excel is working fine.

    any idea!!! what could be the problem.

    Well, it's Microsoft of course. You might want to install the latest slap-together patch-job service pack (orifice 2000 and windhoze). If that doesn't work u can do what I do:
    1) FORMAT.
    2) install Linux
    3) Be happy
